My Life as a Consultant – Why am I always at the Airport?

Hey everyone! Hope you weekend is going well so far. My week has been the same as any other– airport, client site, long hours, and more airport. If you follow me on Instagram, I’m sure you’ve witnessed one of my infamous posts showing me running to a gate or having a glass of wine after a long day. I know you’re probably wondering why am I in the airport YET AGAIN and why I am having YET ANOTHER glass of wine.

As a consultant, I have a pretty rigorous travel schedule which includes flying out of Chicago every Monday morning then flying back in on Thursday evenings. I’m pretty much a professional traveler at this point. Although it does become tiresome, I have acquired airline miles and hotel points — so that’s a plus!

Being a consultant, I am able to visit cities that I would never visit on my own time. My first client is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I love the fact that I am to meet so many different people and learn about the culture and dynamics in their city. It really gives me a new perspective and stretches me to grow so that I can learn how to interact with people who I would have never met otherwise.

Although traveling can sometimes be hectic because of delayed and cancelled flights, I am thankful that I have the opportunity to see new places as a part of my career!

Stay tuned to see where I travel to next!
